Higher Ground was founded in 1993 by Derrick and Tonee Morant in their home, under a divine mandate to birth a ministry free from the religious trappings that have hindered worship.  The fellowship grew from a weekly bible study  to a thriving ministry that includes children’s ministry ,nursery, pre–teen, and teen ministry. Higher Ground also has a men’s and women’s ministry, food program, clothing distribution. We also are involved in community projects, national and international relief programs.

Higher Ground is also an equipping and training hub for ministry and service. Through teaching and training ministry, and church planting programs Higher Ground has established churches and released and supported other ministries in the region and in  the world.
